At Ayre Allied Health, we offer comprehensive speech pathology and occupational therapy assessments for clients of all ages. Assessments are tailored to each individual’s strengths, needs, and goals, and form the foundation for meaningful, personalised support planning.
Speech Pathology assessments may include:
Speech sound assessments – identifying difficulties with articulation, phonology, or motor speech (e.g. saying “tat” instead of “cat”).
Language assessments – evaluating understanding (receptive language) and use of language (expressive language).
Social communication assessments – exploring interaction skills, non-verbal communication, and pragmatic language.
Voice assessments – assessing vocal quality, pitch, and volume concerns.
Literacy assessments – including phonological awareness, reading, spelling, and written language skills.
AAC assessments – determining the need for and suitability of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems.
Occupational Therapy assessments may include:
Functional capacity assessments – understanding a person’s ability to participate in everyday activities at home, school, and in the community.
Sensory processing assessments – exploring sensory preferences, sensitivities, and regulation needs.
Fine and gross motor assessments – assessing coordination, strength, balance, and motor planning.
Self-care assessments – evaluating skills such as dressing, toileting, feeding, and hygiene.
Emotional regulation and executive functioning assessments – understanding attention, emotional regulation, and coping skills.
Assistive technology and equipment assessments – identifying supports to increase independence and participation.

Ayre Allied Health provides individualised speech pathology and occupational therapy intervention supporting clients across a broad range of communication, sensory, motor, and functional needs. Therapy is tailored to each person’s strengths, goals, and preferred ways of engaging, with a strong focus on meaningful participation in everyday life.
Our intervention services include support for:
Speech Pathology
Speech sound difficulties – improving clarity and accuracy of speech.
Language delays and disorders – building skills in understanding and using spoken language.
Stuttering – supporting fluent communication while respecting each person’s unique communication style.
Voice disorders – supporting vocal quality, pitch, and volume.
Literacy – developing phonological awareness, reading, spelling, and written language skills.
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) – supporting the use of low- and high-tech systems to enhance or replace verbal communication.
Social communication – supporting interaction, play, transitions, and understanding social cues in ways that are meaningful for the client and their family.
Occupational Therapy

Therapy is available in homes, schools, community settings, or via telehealth. We support private clients and NDIS participants (self-managed and plan-managed), delivering evidence-based care with compassion, respect, and a neuroaffirming approach that values each person’s individuality.

At Ayre Allied Health, we are passionate about supporting the growth and development of fellow speech pathologists through tailored mentoring services. Our mentoring is grounded in clinical experience, reflective practice, and a collaborative, strengths-based approach.
We offer mentoring to:
Early career and new graduate speech pathologists
Speech pathologists working in private practice or community settings
Clinicians seeking support with NDIS service delivery, neurodiversity, and working with and supporting complex behavior
Mentoring sessions are flexible and can be delivered via telehealth or face-to-face, depending on location and preference. We provide a safe, supportive space for clinicians to ask questions, build clinical reasoning skills, and feel empowered in their professional journey.

Ayre Allied Health offers engaging, evidence-based professional learning and training for educators, support workers, and families to enhance their understanding of communication and sensory development and support strategies across all ages and abilities.
Our training draws on speech pathology, occupational therapy and behavior support frameworks, with a strong focus on inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming practices. We cover a range of topics, including:
