Lauren graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (1st Class Honours). She has experience working with neurodivergent people across the lifespan and is passionate about supporting people to develop skills that are meaningful and valuable to them. Lauren has a particular interest in working with children and adolescents as well as older persons within the mental health space.

Lauren places a strong focus on meeting children and families where they are, building genuine connections and creating a supportive environment where people feel understood and comfortable being themselves. She believes that strong therapeutic relationships are an important foundation for meaningful outcomes and enjoys working collaboratively with children, adolescents and their families to work towards goals that matter to them.

Lauren has completed professional development in DIR®/Floortime, trauma-informed care, autism and girls, PDA and interoception. She enjoys using play as a therapeutic tool and incorporating graded, strengths-based approaches to help people build confidence in their abilities and feel more comfortable engaging in new or challenging experiences. Lauren believes therapy should be enjoyable, collaborative and tailored to the individual.

Outside of being an OT, Lauren loves spending time outdoors, playing netball, going to concerts and events and hanging out with her pets. She loves pizza and hopes to travel to Antarctica one day! Fun fact: Lauren has previously lived in France and the UK! Her favourite games include Blokus, giant handball and anything involving throwing something at a target.
